Here's a hilarious straight-to-video recommendation: "Oxygen" starring Maura Tierney and Adrien Brody. Good god this is a terrible movie. To the best of my memory, Brody plays a serial kidnapper/killer and Tierney is the cop who is trying to find his latest kidnapped victim (who is buried alive and needs OXYGEN).
It is a quality film, cinematography-wise, but the script is BAAAAAD. There are many awkward moments, and it's hard to tell whether they're intentional or not. It's a deliciously bad movie, and I'm assuming it is straight-to-video? I don't remember it being in the theater.
